Automatic Awnings

o Automatic roll-up awnings are a robust awning option that is specifically designed to protect windows from heat and glare. They are available in various fabric options and colours to suit most modern and heritage homes and businesses. They can be pulled up or down in a simple one-handed operation, and lock at any given point along their guides. Automatic awnings retract into a roll, which can be sheltered in an optional weather box. A wavy valance is standard; a straight valance is also available. 

Colour coordinated weather box (optional), control arms and bottom rails are available in diverse colours. You can also choose a powder-coated option in any colour to match or contrast the awning and/or your house. End fittings are a black UV-protected PVC material. Arms come in three standard lengths, 150mm, 200mm, 300mm and 450mm. Longer arms are available on request. These arms are designed to assist in both the easy operation of the awning and hold the awning away from your home, enabling airflow around your awning. Arms and guide rods are optionally available in stainless steel.

BCS Rollup Awning

BCS rollup awnings are heavy-weight rollup awnings, usually controlled by either a crank or push button (electric). They have the advantage that they can be locked down and tensioned to handle higher winds without flapping. An optional blow-out kit is available to prevent the sides from blowing out in heavier winds, and you can make a weatherproof room on those dreadful rainy days. The side rails and bottom rail can be powder coated to suit your home.

Channel Guide Awning

Channel guide awnings will make a wonderful addition to any home. The channels and brackets are powder-coated with any standard colour to match your home or business. They will provide a sleek, integrated look that blends seamlessly into your home. 

This awning is manually operated by twisting the bottom rail to lock it into your desired position. The awning can lock at any position along its drop. Fabric is rolled around a spring-tensioned, galvanised or aluminium tube at the top of the awning, which can be altered to your desired requirements. This awning is best suited to areas where there is a flat surface at both ends, i.e., between verandah posts.

Cord & Reel Awning

Cord and reel awnings are fabric options with internal or extended external rope control. This makes them perfect for 2nd-floor applications as an internal winch can be operated without the need to go outside. Additionally, a long rope can be extended to the ground floor, enabling you to control the awning externally at heights beyond normal reach. This type of awning can also be supplied with spring arms, making it more stable in mild to medium windy conditions.

Shop Drop Awning / Rope & Pulley Awning

The simplicity of a rope and pulley or shop drop awning makes it perfect for almost any opening where it can be attached across the top. It is an attractive, easily operated and affordable awning that adds privacy and protection from wind, sun and rain. It will also maintain your views, increasing the functionality of your outdoor areas. 

The awning’s fabric is operated using a rope fed through pulleys at the top of the awning. The rope can be pulled or let out, raising and lowering the awning respectively. The fabric is secured at the top and rolls onto a roller and out of the way as the awning is raised and therefore not in use. 

This awning can have optional zips at the sides to add increased strength and protection from the elements. This is also one of the few awnings which can have a sloping top for oddly shaped openings, such as under the eaves or when your house has moved.
